    If you don't mind dropping a little cash, Gotham is the best place in the city to see live comedy. Stay away from events billed as "showcases;" these are events where brand new (or desperate) comics are required to bring 15 paying customers in order to perform. Popularity (or being from a large family) does not a funny comic make.
