  • Description of Leonard Golino Salon

    - Feb 16, 2008 2:54:15 PM

Locals swear by this salon, especially for coloring. Because of its tiny size you should come prepared to wait, even if you have an appointment (they do, in fact, take walk-ins). They've gotten a lot of press and media exposure in recent years and it keeps them super busy but they still pay personal attention to everyone who comes in.

  • Description of Williams Sonoma

    - Feb 16, 2008 2:27:12 PM

Go to WS for fancy pants cookware, made for people who actually cook themselves instead of having their staff do it. Two nice touches: the communal dog water bowl outside and the shiny chrome exterior. How do they keep it so clean?

  • Description of NY Merchants

    - Feb 16, 2008 2:15:36 PM

  • Description of L M Deli

    - Feb 16, 2008 1:30:15 PM

Has a deep and unusual wine inventory, but you might want to take someone who knows wine with you as now all the staff is super wine savvy.
